What do brides and their mothers think about the information in the blog and the RECEPTION PLANNING GUIDE?

From B. Davis Reno, NV

  • This information was so helpful; it took a lot of the stress out of planning our reception.
  • I had self-catered my older daughter’s reception several years ago and was a complete wreck by the time the reception took place.
  • The information in the Planning Guide answered so many questions when we started the planning process.

  • The Recipe Worksheets really helped for planning how much food to purchase and the Preparation Schedule relieved a lot of pressure by helping us plan what needed to be done and when.
  • The Organizational tips were an incredible help.
  • We were also able to incorporate other elements of the wedding planning into the Preparation schedule.
  • The breakdown for the amounts of food to serve per person was a lifesaver.  The Directions for Preparing Large Amounts of Food and Serving Pieces Table tied up a lot of loose ends.

Again, thank you for all the information you provided.  It was a great day!!!

The Planning Guide is worth having for the WORKSHEETS alone!

  • The author walks you step by step how to plan, shop, prepare, and present marvelous buffets for 25 to 150+.
  • All with easy to use Worksheets that you customize to suit your tastes, budget, and style! You choose your favorite foods from different categories and the worksheets take care of the quantity, variety, preparation timetable, every detail down to which serving utensils you’ll need for each dish!
  • The information on the website and in the Planning Guide includes everything from how to cut a wedding cake and whether to rent or purchase glassware, to what decorations not to put on the tables!   M. Parker – Maryland
  •  Gail describes in detail the steps to plan and organize a wedding reception.
  • She shares  catering techniques so that on the day of the wedding it all comes together with ease.
  • If you want a potluck reception, she tells you how to organized and plan for that too.
  • The Bar Guide is useful; without it I’m sure I would have bought too much champagne and not enough wine.
  • In addition, the following sections were useful to me: Purchasing Tips, The Prep Schedule, The Master Equipment List and Buffet Set-up Guidelines.
  • I had a couple questions and Gail responded the same day and not only answered my questions, but she provided additional information.
  • Gail’s Planning Guide has the most useful information for the novice. This is the sort of information you would spend days searching for (if you could find it at all) on the internet. Reading this guide is like having a conversation with a wedding planner and caterer. When you are done you can envision just how to put it all together.
  • I love that the recipes include how far in advance they can be prepared.
